Early Identification of Cognitive Deficits in Children with Neurofibromatosis
Type 1
We are currently looking for young children with NF1 to participate in
a research study at our institution. We are trying to learn more about
how the brain works in infants and pre-school children with NF1. Children
with NF1 less than 40 months of age will be eligible for participation.
The study is sponsored by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel
Command, Department of Defense, Neurofibromatosis Research Program.
What: Participants in this study will undergo regular
developmental and/or neuropsychological testing over the course of four
years. We will also ask to include the results of your child's routine
MRI scans in our study.

Benefits: All developmental and/or neuropsychological
testing will be free of charge. There are no costs for the research study
and parking is free. Families will be paid for their participation.
